  Scientific, Credible Discovery - Earthquakes are set to increase in 2018

  it has already been published and presented in a geology conference:it has been discovered that the earth´s rotation slows down a few milliseconds every so often, and when it slows down, about 5 years later there is a 5-year period where the frequency of large earthquakes around magnitude 7 or greater increases about 20-30%.so according to scientists, in 2018, around the tropical areas, we should expect around 20 major earthquakes, compared to the 15 average on a normal year.jw´s are likely to jump on this as "evidence" of the time of the end, and will probably be misquoted in a watchtower publication sometime soon.here are some news organizations covering the story:https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/nov/18/2018-set-to-be-year-of-big-earthquakeshttps://qz.com/1133304/as-earths-rotation-slows-2018-could-see-a-spike-in-large-earthquakes/.

  I didn't look up the exact phrasing this week, hence the gonna and citing the wrong paragraph number. The same stupid questions are in nearly all the studies, and the conductor can at times spend 5 minutes on it. It is mind numbing. They can go past something that could be discussed with some thought so fast you can't even keep up.

  one thing that bugs the heck out of me is the exclusive use of entitled when offering the name of any talk or article.

  can;t it ever be "on the subject of", named, titled, called, about or anything else.. i guess technically it is a correct usage, but entitled always (to me) means gives the idea of being in a special privelege, having a right to something or such..

  True or False did the Watchtower Corporation create false doctrines intentionally to enhance the proliferation of their own publications ?

  much as been revealed over the years to the date setting doctrines made by the wts.

  such as ( 1874, 1914, 1925 , 1975 this generation, the last days, the end times etc.... which were not created by other christian based faiths.. as to critically examine why might reveal a hidden agenda to all these date setting proclamations.. the point in question is did the wts and its leaders intentionally manipulate or exploit the preaching of the gospel to enhance the proliferation of their own printed publications ?.

  i would say convincingly yes, no question.

  mostly borrowed ideas and phrases from others. they still follow popular trends. Find any social or economic or other event in the news and they will jump on the band wagon. Be it climate change, guns, welfare, always for attracting the most money.

  no pictures of Kingdom Hall remodels???

  i'm following an old friend on instagram who's an uber elder and he does lots of work on kh's and has gone to warwick on his own dime to help with the construction.

  on his instagram post he says " i can't post pictures of the kh remodel but i can post pics of jack daniels that i had afterwards" or some such.

  why aren't they allowed to take pics of remodels?

  they are well aware of all the issues they are facing.

  they know their numbers (they 'do the math' as they say in the us).

  do actual charitable works, help people that need it. quit slamming education and working for a living quit guilt nagging make an actual accounting of monies spent

  donations for local cong expenses are used to care for expenses incurred by the congregation INCLUDING the monthly rent or whatever you want to call the mandatory donation. as for assistance in building, every penny was collected before ground was broken, and every penny over X amount was requested to be donated, and was, at least here. now we can't even save enough money for seats that need replaced as the amount exceeds the operating allowance

  there is never any accounting for where the money really goes, just vague references to "good use" you can trust them though

  yet a tragedy strikes and you want to give a real heartfelt expression of your feelings— what would you say?

  would you acknowledge the resurrection hope that the witnesses entertain or say something very different?.

  same as a worldly person. do anything practical they need you are capable of, just be there, take in a meal, gently help them through any guilt they have (there is always something they (we) did or didn't they regret, cannot be helped for any of us)

  even a lot of gung ho witnesses know enough to hold back on a lot of scriptures at that time
